What
is Salvation?
Salvation is the deliverance
from the penalty of sin, the power of sin, and upon the return
of Jesus Christ, the presence of sin.
Romans
6:23 states "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift
of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." God loves
us, and His desire is to have a personal relationship with each
one of us. God sent Jesus to reestablish our relationship with
Him. Because God loves us so much, He sent Jesus to die for us
to provide us with a sure way of getting to heaven. Jesus is Hebrew
for Joshua or Yeshua, which means salvation. Jesus is our salvation.
Jesus gave His life as the ultimate sacrifice so that we may be
forgiven of our sins.
John
10:10 tell us that Jesus came so that we might have life and that
we might have it more abundantly. If you want a more abundant
life and to secure a place in heaven, all you have to do is ask
Jesus to represent you to God our Heavenly Father. You do this
by acknowledging Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life.
Romans
10:9-10 states "that if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus
is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from
the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you
believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you
confess and are saved."
Just
say the following prayer:
Lord Jesus, I need You
in my life. I believe You are the Son of God and that You died
on the cross for me. Please forgive my sins and create a clean
heart within me. Renew my spirit so that I can hear Your voice.
I accept You, Jesus, as my Lord and Savior!
