Pastor
Frank L. Gibson, III is
the Founder and Senior Minister of the Lion of Judah
Church (LOJ) in Lanham, Maryland. In obedience to
God, Pastor Gibson established LOJ in October 2000,
opening the doors for the first worship service in
January 2001 with nine members.
Prior to founding the Lion of Judah Church, Pastor
Gibson served as Assistant to the Pastor at Metropolitan
Baptist Church in Washington, D.C., where he also
served as Minister to Youth for three years prior
to this appointment. Pastor Gibson was called to the
Ministry in 1992 and was ordained by the Middlesex
Central Baptist Association in 1995 at Friendship
Baptist Church in Trenton, New Jersey.
Pastor
Gibson holds a Masters of Divinity degree from Princeton
Theological Seminary in Princeton, New Jersey. He
earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration
and Marketing from Delaware State University. Pastor
Gibson is a native of Silver Spring, Maryland.

Biography
While
attending Delaware State University, Pastor Gibson
was on the Dean's List and the National Dean's List
and received the Council of Student Life and Excellence
in Academics Award.
In addition, he was also a counselor for the Upward
Bound Youth Program and received the Bo-Rietta Incorporated
Community Service Award.
Upon
his ordination in 1995, Pastor Gibson was appointed
Associate Minister at Friendship Baptist Church in
Trenton, New Jersey and later went on to serve as
the Assistant Chaplain at the Garden State Youth Correctional
Facility in Bordentown, New Jersey for three years.
In addition, Pastor Gibson served as Youth Coordinator
for the Bible Way Church of God In Christ in Dover,
Delaware.
Upon
his initial return to the metropolitan Washington,
D.C. area held an active presence on the campuses
of Georgetown University, where he served as Baptist
Campus Minister and Howard University School of
Law, where he led Bible Study for the Christian
Fellowship Association. During this time, he also
served as Youth Coordinator for New Foundation Church
in Washington, D.C.
Pastor
Frank L. Gibson, III is an anointed preacher and
teacher. He has dedicated his life to serving the
Lord, by providing leadership to the people of God
and by preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Helping
people give their lives to Christ is not only his
vocation but also his foremost desire. Under his
leadership, The Lion of Judah Community Baptist
Church has grown to a membership of over five hundred
as a church that Spiritually Alive, Biblically
Based, Socially Sensitive, Family Oriented, Culturally
Aware and Youth Friendly.
